Interactive Screens are the best way to display or present information in various forms like colour slides, video clips, or from regularly updated text etc. All these modes are suitable for both indoor and outdoor places and can be used for different purposes like sales, waiting or providing transit information to the users. But one of the most asked questions is what is behind the screens? And how these works? So, here we have 5 smart approaches that help you to know more about interactive screens:

1. DISPLAYS

The display is an important element that showcases your content to the users. There are different types of screens like OLED, LCD, Plasma Screen, E-paper and Projects. • As every model is of digital signage is not suitable for all purposes so you should know the pixel burnout problem before installation.
  • Digital Signage displays you use must provide a quality image results for natural colored images from all angles.
  • It is desirable that the displays can be easily rotated for both angles vertically and horizontally.

2. PLAYERS

Media players are used for displaying images, which are directly connected to screen via standard multimedia interfaces. Usually, VGA and DVI video connectors or universal HDMI and Display Port interfaces are used to connect players. Here, we have tips for player connection:
  • Players can be connected to ordinary PC.
  • If you want to display your content on many displays, you must choose a high-cost processing player.
  • You can choose a player from big brands like LG, Samsung, NEC, Mitsubishi Electric etc’s for the optimal output.

3. INFRASTRUCTURE

While installing an interactive screen, there are many factors that you need to consider to get the best results. Here are some:
Know Your purpose: first of all, you must know the purpose of screen deployment, because screens are deployed accordingly in an indoor or outdoor area.
Placement strategies: There are three major mounting strategies like the floor mounted, wall mounted, and ceiling mounted available for the screen. You can choose according to your requirements. As all these fulfill different purposes.
Location: this is the obvious fact that you need to think while putting your display. Remember, you must place it where the maximum number of people can get the relevant information from it.

Screen placement rule: For this, you must focus on the following aspects:
  • Distance: With an LCD screen, use the 4/6/8 rule for its installation. You can also multiply the pixel pitch with 1000 to find the minimum viewing distance.
  • Angle: it completely depends upon the screen and location. If you mounted high on the wall, you must tilt it downward.
  • Light exposure: As different types of displays have different maximum outputs like LCD is least bright compared to the projector. So, you must also consider the nearby resource like windows or spotlighting.

4. MOUNTING STRATEGY

The mounting of the screen at the right place and in the right direction is important to provide the relevant information to users. Basically, there are three types of mountings possibilities used by experts such as floor mounting, wall mounting, and ceiling mounting. But, what type of mounting will be suitable for your advertisement, is completely depends upon the purpose of your installing the signage.
  • Floor Mounted: These are found on a stand, pedestal, or in trolley form. This option is suitable when there are walls and ceiling mountings are not possible and the sign needs to be in the middle of the hall. So, you can position the floor mounting where users can reach easily and help them in all directions.
  • Ceiling mounted: This is the most common option. Ceiling mounting does not limit the users from viewing the content as it does not require space on the floor and does not require a wall. But here, you cannot take advantage of the touch screen application.
  • Wall mounted: These signage are attached to walls either directly or indirectly by fixed or articulable arms. This option is basically used to imply video walls.

5. CONTENT CONTROL SYSTEM

The content control system is the most important element of the digital signage display. Basically, it is a computer application that allows content customization, scheduling, monitoring, and deployment of content to all networks of interactive screens for education. The CCS can be assessed effectively in any of the two ways depending upon your signage software as follow:
  • Cloud-based or web-based system: content management system can be operated directly from the host’s website or from data saved in clouds.
  • Desktop Download: CCS can be run through downloaded programs that stored in your computer’s desktop.
Note: if you use website option to run content, then you must have its valid user name and password.

Bottom Line

The deployment of Digital Signage Displays provides a great boost to the project integration. Traditionally, companies were using the audio-visual system to promote their goods and services. But, due to technology developments, smart players entered in this field that makes the competition really tough. Hence we hope with the emergence of new technology digital signage display can able to provide interesting solutions from both an economic and technological point of view.
